The demonstrated route is Starter → Jungle → Desert → Snow → Volcano → Frozen Seal. Unlock islands in order and protect the fish needed for the next gate before selling your inventory.

Read Index and Quests before leaving
Use the island order in Index and the destination’s request in Quests. Write down coins, species, rarity, origin and weight before selling.

Take a boat toward the next area
In the walkthrough, distant island names appear only after moving closer. A missing label from the starter shore does not prove the island is absent.

Pay the island’s access NPC
Arriving is not the same as unlocking fishing access. Earlier islands must be unlocked first; meet the NPC’s live coin and item requirements.

Inspect local quests and the rod vendor
The source shows unavailable quest lists before area access. After unlocking, inspect the vendor and nearby hidden NPCs before choosing another goal.
Example: prepare for Snow without selling your gate
Suppose your next gate is Snow and you have two Desert legendary fish. The reported gate asks for three, so keep both and catch one more on Desert. Selling one to shorten the coin gap would also increase the fish gap. Keep the origin requirement attached to each fish; a Jungle legendary is not a substitute.
Fast Travel is a separate pass-based portal system in the walkthrough. It moves you between already unlocked areas; it does not replace the island unlock requirement.
