Watch the manual catch counter
The source shows a counter decrease from 50 to 49 after one catch and reports a legendary-or-higher guarantee at the end of the manual sequence. That makes “faster automation” and “same rewards” separate questions. Check that your current mode advances the counter before assuming the historical rule still applies.
